I have been pondering the death of Steve Jobs. The first computer I used at work as an Apple IIc. The first computer I owned was an Apple IIe. In edcuation for a long time Apples were all we knew. Then PCs replaced Apple products in schools and I’ve been a PC user ever since.

While I am not a Mac fan I can appreciate the contributions Steve Jobs has made to the world of technology and can acknowledge that the world has lost a man of vision and great intelligence. He showed passion for his work and we have all watched as he valiantly battled cancer. My sympathy to his family who have lost a husband and father and to his friends and colleagues. While we cannot say his death was unexpected, we can empathise with their sense of loss at this difficult time.
